The Pig!

Here is the first computer based drawing of the Pig. I am finally at the point in this process where I am making things that could end up in the final video, which is very exciting. I'd really like to hear feedback on this in particular.  I want to know if the whole texture idea is working. I'd also like to hear opinions on whether the shading adds to the whole thing or just makes it seem more cluttered.

  1. I think the texture works great and even more so with the shading. The shading gives it more of a 3-D effect.

  2. Donnie, this pig is the SHIT. When I saw him, I said "WHOA" out loud. And then I typed to Kinzie, "Whoa, look at that PIG! Look at that houndstooth JACKET!" This is awesome. Maybe try it without the shading and the post it? I don't know. I don't know anything about these things. But I also love the Mr. Pig text. He is so fat and fancy looking and it reminds me of that Beatles song "Piggies" with all the pigs and their wives at dinner. He is sort of retro but sort of a jerk and sort of a beaten down member of society. But still a little pompous. But not too pompous.

  3. Oh, he is BELIEVABLE. That's what I meant to say.

  4. Can you show us what it would look like without the shading? I like it, but I'm not sure it works with the non-shaded rest of the drawing. Also what does the pig look like from the front? I also think it would be even funnier if he walked around on little tiny hooves instead of boots to add to the disproportion of the big body and tiny feet.

  5. I agree with Lauren and Amy -- I would like to see him without shading too, so I can get an idea of it both ways. But I do think the shading looks real good.

Too bad you don't have any talent, huh? (Small joke)
